Authorities are currently conducting investigations into the complaint made by two ELDYK soldiers who reported an attack by a group of unknown individuals.
According to information from the police, the incident occurred around 19:00 on Sunday (22/1), as the two soldiers were returning to their unit in the Athalassa area. They were reportedly attacked by approximately 15 individuals.
The two soldiers were transported to Nicosia General Hospital for examinations. One of them suffered external injuries, while the other sustained a jaw fracture and is currently under medical care.
According to the complaint, the soldiers claimed that they were attacked unprovoked and without any apparent reason. Authorities continue their efforts to identify the perpetrators. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
