27-year-old man found dead after house fire in Ypsonas

Man pronounced dead at hospital after being found unconscious in fire-damaged home.

A 27-year-old man was found dead Saturday afternoon following a house fire in the Ypsonas area of Limassol.

Authorities said the fire broke out early in the afternoon at a private residence. Fire Service crews responded to the scene after receiving a call and worked to extinguish the blaze.

The man was discovered unconscious inside the home and was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
