3.1 magnitude earthquake felt in Limassol district

Mild tremors in Limassol area, monitoring ongoing

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 8:04 AM today, with its effects felt lightly throughout the Limassol district.

The Geological Survey Department, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, reported that the epicenter was located 19 kilometers northwest of Limassol, at a depth of 47 kilometers. The tremor was primarily experienced as a mild shaking in the Limassol area.

The Seismological Center continues to monitor the situation closely, according to the department's statement.
