Cyprus’ finest flavors took center stage once again as Gastronomos magazine and Kathimerini newspaper hosted the 2025 Gastronomos Quality Awards, celebrating the best in local food and tradition.
The event, held on Wednesday, July 2, at the Strovolos Cultural Centre, marked the 11th consecutive year of the awards, which have become a staple of the island’s culinary calendar.
More than just a night of trophies, the awards are a heartfelt tribute to the people behind Cyprus’ most authentic products, the farmers, artisans, and small producers who work with dedication, staying true to tradition while embracing innovation.
“These awards are our way of saying thank you to the people who bring the taste of Cyprus to life,” organizers said, emphasizing the importance of preserving food heritage in a rapidly modernizing world.
From cheeses and olive oils to traditional sweets and wines, the awards recognize not just the products, but the stories, communities, and passion that go into making them.
The evening was filled with warm moments and proud faces, as local producers were applauded for their contribution to Cyprus’ growing reputation as a culinary destination.
As always, the event didn’t just feed the stomach but the soul.
