Antonia Theodosiou at Green Agenda 2026

The largest sustainable development conference returns to Nicosia on June 4, 2026

Press Release

The Green Agenda Cyprus Summit, the largest sustainable development conference, returns to Nicosia on June 4, 2026, under the central theme “Transition as a responsibility (not a trend),” bringing leading figures from the fields of sustainability and innovation to the stage. Among this year’s speakers is Antonia Theodosiou, Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare.

At the Green Agenda Cyprus Summit, Antonia Theodosiou is expected to turn the spotlight on Akamas, one of Cyprus’ most iconic natural areas, and the increasingly difficult balance between its protection and the push for development.

She is expected to stress that sustainability is no longer just about the environment but an issue that runs through everyday life, from culture and the economy to politics and society. Her intervention will open the way for a broader discussion on how Cyprus can protect its natural treasures while also finding a path of responsible progress in tourism and development.

The Green Agenda Cyprus Summit is presented by Altia.

Major sponsors: Alpha Bank and Eurobank.

Supporters: EY, Invest Cyprus, CYTA, EAC, Cyfield, LLPO, University of Limassol, Sklavenitis.

With the support of the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) and the Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB).

Organised by SppMedia Events and V+O Cyprus.
