Green Agenda Cyprus Summit - ''Transition as a Responsibility (not a trend)''

More than 20 speakers are expected to take part in discussions at the Hilton Nicosia on June 4.

Press Release

The largest sustainability and green development conference in Cyprus is returning to Nicosia on June 4, 2026, with a broader and more urgent agenda than ever before.

This year’s summit will focus on some of the country’s most pressing environmental and energy challenges, including Cyprus’ energy inefficiency, which results in millions worth of green energy being wasted daily; natural disasters with a particular focus on wildfires and rising risks for insurance companies; new trends in nature-based experiential tourism; and the energy-intensive and polluting production of desalinated water using heavy fuel oil.

The conference will also explore urban planning as a response to increasingly overheated cities, as well as growing environmental cynicism in the era of Trump.

More than 20 speakers are expected to take part in discussions at the Hilton Nicosia on June 4.

The full conference agenda and the names of keynote speakers will be announced in the coming days. More information is available at agenda.cy.

The conference is organized in collaboration with Altia Real Estate.

Major sponsors include Alpha Bank and Eurobank.

Supporting partners include EY, Invest Cyprus, Cyta, Electricity Authority of Cyprus, Cyfield, LLPO, University of Limassol, and Sklavenitis.

The event is supported by the Research and Innovation Foundation.
