Arrest of 58 individuals residing illegally in Cyprus

The Police have already repatriated 20 of the 58 individuals.

Yesterday, the Police conducted a large-scale operation aimed at identifying third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus.

During the operation, officers arrested 58 individuals of various nationalities, all of whom have been confirmed to be staying illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.

The Police have already repatriated 20 of these individuals and are in the process of arranging the immediate repatriation of the remaining 38, in cooperation with other relevant authorities.

The operation took place in the Limassol district, with the participation of members from the Immigration and Foreigners Service (IFS) as well as the Subdivision of Green Line Surveillance and Migration Flow Management. The operation began at 5:00 a.m. and concluded around 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Police's efforts to locate and repatriate individuals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus continue on a daily basis.
