An explosive device went off around 03:30 in the early morning in a car owned by a 28-year-old person in the area of Agios Spyridonas, in Limassol.
According to the Police, the incident was noticed two hours later, at 05:50, and the scene was visited by officers and members of the Limassol Crime Investigation Department, while a pyrotechnician conducted examinations.
As it was determined, the explosion was caused by the ignition of a metallic object containing low-power explosive material, which had been placed in the vehicle of the 28-year-old while it was parked in their home's parking space.
The explosion caused extensive damage to the front part of the vehicle.
