Businesses can now register for renewable energy funding programs

Companies hit roadblocks in registration process

Newsroom

Businesses interested in participating in grant schemes to encourage the use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Efficiency (EE) are now able to register, according to the Management Committee of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Saving (EE) Fund.

In an announcement by the Committee, it was stated that two separate catalogs would be compiled. The first catalog is the Participating Merchants - Photovoltaics catalog, where merchants undertaking investments for Categories A1, A2, and A3 of the Grant Scheme will be registered. The second catalog pertains to the Participating Merchants - Thermal Insulation, where merchants undertaking investments for Categories B1 and B2 of the Grant Scheme will be registered.

Registration in the above catalogs is independent, notes the Fund Management Committee, and each merchant can register in one or both catalogs.

For registration in the catalogs, interested businesses will need to electronically fill out the participating merchant pre-registration form, where they will declare the contact details they wish to be disclosed in the catalogs, as well as the personnel/partners to whom access to the system will be granted for the purpose of submitting Investment Implementation Updates for their clients. Additionally, they must send by mail the properly completed and signed merchant participant declaration and participation agreement, as provided for in the Grant Scheme.

It is emphasized that to avoid inconvenience and delays, businesses must carefully study the Grant Scheme before submitting the above documents and ensure they understand its provisions and the obligations they will undertake as participating merchants. Furthermore, they must carefully study the participation agreement they will sign and ensure they understand its content. Finally, they are called upon to ensure they have completed all the required fields of the merchant participant declaration and participation agreement and have signed and initialed all the required fields.

It is clarified that each business must submit a separate merchant participant declaration and participation agreement. Each legal entity is considered a separate business and must proceed with a separate registration, while attention is drawn to subsidiaries/affiliated companies, which must register separately and declare different users to whom access to the system will be granted. Moreover, the submission of the above does not imply automatic registration in the catalogs. Registration in the catalogs will be completed, and businesses will be informed accordingly only if the registration conditions are met.

The possibility of registration in the catalogs of participating merchants will be provided throughout the duration of the Grant Scheme. If the necessary conditions are met, the Committee will register the merchant in the participating merchant catalog no later than within one month.
