A quiet Thursday morning in Latsia turned chaotic when a car slammed straight into a neighborhood café, sending tables, chairs, and even a tree flying.
Police say the vehicle somehow veered off the road and “impaled” itself into the front of the café just before midday. Exactly how it ended up inside the shop is still under investigation, but witnesses described a sudden, loud crash followed by customers scrambling to get out of the way.
Three people suffered minor injuries, mostly from debris and the impact of the collision. Paramedics treated them at the scene as stunned bystanders tried to make sense of what had just happened.
The crash left the café’s outdoor area in a mess of twisted metal, broken furniture, and an uprooted tree lying across the pavement.
Authorities are now looking into what caused the driver to lose control, while shop owners spent the morning sweeping up glass and trying to restore some calm after a very unexpected wake-up call.
