Good morning, and happy Friday! The weekend is just around the corner, and the weather is mostly cooperating—but let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the dust. It’s hanging in the air like an unwanted guest, making it hard to breathe and giving me, your trusty reporter, burning eyes and a cough that just won’t quit. Seriously, folks, keep those windows closed, and if you’re stepping outside, consider a mask or at least some eye drops.
Now, onto the forecast:
Today, most areas of the island will enjoy mainly clear skies with a touch of local cloudiness, especially in the afternoon. Some of those clouds might give way to an isolated rain shower in the mountainous regions. Winds will shift between north-northeast and southwest-northwest, blowing weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and occasionally picking up along the windward coast. The sea will generally be a little rough, so maybe hold off on those sailing plans.
Temperatures will reach a pleasant 18°C inland, a slightly warmer 20°C along the coast, and a brisk 10°C up in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the skies will remain mostly clear, though coastal areas might see increased cloud cover. Winds will calm down to 3 Beaufort, and the sea will settle into calm-to-slightly-rough territory. Temperatures will dip to 7°C inland, 9°C along the coast, and a chilly 3°C in the mountains, where frost is likely to form.
The weekend and the start of next week promise mostly clear skies, with occasional patches of cloudiness here and there. Temperatures will stay steady, remaining above the seasonal average for this time of year.
