Clear skies, chilly nights, and cloudy surprises

Island's forecast keeps you guessing!

Newsroom

Get ready for a weather rollercoaster this Monday! Expect mainly clear skies with temperatures soaring to around 23 degrees inland, hitting a cozy 21 degrees on the southern and eastern coasts, and cooling down to around 11 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, brace for a drop in temperature to around 8 degrees inland, 10 degrees on the southeast and northern coasts, 13 degrees on the rest of the coast, and a chilly 3 degrees in the higher mountains where frost might make a guest appearance.

Keep an eye out for increasing clouds, especially in the northern half of the island. Winds will be dancing mainly from the northwest to north, with a light to moderate breeze, hitting 3 to 4 Beaufort.

Don't be surprised if it gets a bit gusty, reaching a moderate to strong 4 to 5 Beaufort in some areas.

The sea is set to be a bit rambunctious, ranging from choppy in the west and north to a little choppy to choppy in the south and east.

As night falls, the weather gods promise a mostly clear sky with those northwest to north winds still playing around. The sea, not wanting to be left out, will become slightly rough to choppy in the west and north, and slightly choppy in the south and east.

Temperatures will bid goodbye to the warmth, dropping to around 8 degrees inland, 10 degrees on the southeast and northern coasts, 13 degrees on the rest of the coast, and a crisp 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost might just sneak in for a chilly night.

Looking ahead, Tuesday plans to keep it mostly clear, Wednesday introduces some mid to high clouds, and Thursday keeps the trend with mainly clear skies, sprinkled with a few clouds in the afternoon – especially in the mountains.

Temperature-wise, Tuesday will nudge just above average, while Wednesday and Thursday are expected to maintain their chill vibes with no significant temperature changes. So, grab your jackets and enjoy the weather ride this week!
