According to media reports, 60-year-old Anastasios Thoma was working at a construction site in Larnaca near the state hospital on Saturday evening, around 7pm.

The Greek Cypriot worker was reportedly some nine metres above the ground on an apartment building under construction when he lost his balance and fell under circumstances that remain under investigation.
