Elena Kulichenko, a 22-year-old athlete from GSI, has qualified for the final of the high jump at the Olympic Games. Koulinchenko cleared 1.92 meters on her first attempt and 1.88 meters on her second, securing her spot in Sunday’s grand final, which will feature 12 competitors.

Kulichenko finished 7th in the qualifying heats. She attempted to clear 1.95 meters but was unsuccessful, with three invalid attempts. Despite this, her performance was enough to move her forward to the final round.

The Olympic record for the high jump, held by Russia's Yelena Slesarenko since August 28, 2004, in Athens, stands at 2.06 meters. Kulichenko's best performance this year is 1.97 meters.

The final on Sunday promises to be an exciting competition as Kulichenko vies for Olympic glory.
