Beer sales in Cyprus went flat in August, with total deliveries down 5.1% compared to the same month last year, according to official data released Friday.
The Statistical Service said deliveries from local breweries dropped to 4.5 million liters in August 2025, down from nearly 4.93 million liters a year earlier. Domestic consumption fell 7.2%, while exports slumped by a steep 35.9%.
Month to month, the picture wasn’t much brighter: compared with July, beer deliveries plunged 13.7%, a loss of more than 721,000 liters.
The numbers suggest that Cyprus’ beer market is cooling after the summer peak, with fewer pints poured both at home and abroad.
