Cyprus’s Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, is arriving in India today for an official visit at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The trip is designed to reinforce the growing partnership between the two nations, focusing on political, economic, and regional collaboration.

During his visit, Kombos is set to discuss broader issues concerning EU-India relations, in anticipation of Cyprus’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Foreign Minister will meet privately with Jaishankar, followed by extended consultations between delegations from both countries’ foreign ministries.

The visit will conclude with a keynote address at the Indian Council of World Affairs, where Kombos will outline opportunities for strategic cooperation, highlight Cyprus’s role in promoting stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, and emphasize its contribution within the EU framework.
