Police are investigating a violent attack on a food delivery driver in Kiti on Thursday night, where six individuals assaulted the man and stole his motorcycle and mobile phone.
According to police spokesperson Christodoulos Consolos, the incident occurred around 8:20 pm on Grigori Afxentiou Street. The 28-year-old delivery driver, a foreign national, was forced to stop his motorbike due to roadworks blocking the road.
While stationary, he was reportedly approached by six unidentified young men who threw him to the ground, used violence against him, and fled the scene with his motorcycle and mobile phone.
The victim did not suffer visible injuries but was taken to Larnaca General Hospital as a precaution before being discharged.
Police later found the stolen motorcycle abandoned in an open field about 500 metres from the attack site. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects.
The case is being handled by Kiti Police Station, with investigations ongoing.
