Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez visited on Tuesday the Turkish drill ship Yavuz.
Donmez was accompanied by Ersin Tatar and Hassan Tatsoi. In a related post on twitter, the Turkish Minister described Yavuz as "the symbol of Turkish independence at sea".
Mr Domez added that Yavuz's work would continue with the support of the Turkish nation.
The move comes as Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci are scheduled to meet on August 9 in an effort to restart peace talks.
