A car overturned on the Tseri highway in Nicosia Sunday afternoon after hitting a roadside guardrail, authorities said.
The accident happened around noon, prompting a quick response from police and emergency medical teams. According to officials, the car veered off course, struck the barrier, and flipped over.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police say the injuries do not appear to be serious.
Traffic was briefly disrupted as crews cleared the wreckage. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
