Eight cars caught on fire early Thursday in the Tseri area of Nicosia, authorities said.
The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. in an open field next to a residential building, police said. The vehicles reportedly belonged to residents of the building.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and police launched an investigation at the scene.
Authorities said examinations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
