Look, I know you don’t believe me, especially after that comment I saw under yesterday’s weather post on Facebook (yes, I read them). But hear me out: today, there’s a real chance we’ll finally get a little rain. Not a flood, not a monsoon, but a few glorious, cooling drops. Maybe even a cheeky storm if we’re lucky.
Here’s the forecast: the day kicks off partly cloudy, with clouds building after noon, especially over the mountains and inland. And guess what? Isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm are expected. Yes, really. Even a spot of hail isn’t off the table. But don’t worry, the drama won’t last, by late afternoon, skies should clear again, like a moody friend who just needed to vent.
Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, at a light-to-moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be slightly choppy, just enough to remind you it’s still summer.
Temperatures will reach 35°C inland, 32°C along the coast, and a more bearable 27°C up in the mountains, where you’ll have the best shot at catching those raindrops.
Tonight, things settle down with mostly clear skies, though a few low clouds may hover over the west and north coasts. Fog or mist might sneak in overnight, so watch your step if you’re out late. Winds will stay soft at around 3 Beaufort, and the sea will calm. Expect overnight temps to drop to 21°C inland, 23°C by the coast, and 19°C in the highlands.
The weekend vibe?
Friday and Saturday look mostly clear again, but mountains might see a surprise shower or storm in the afternoon. So, if you’re hiking, maybe pack an umbrella... or at least a good story for when you get caught in it. Sunday? Clear skies are calling again.
Temps will hold steady Friday and climb slightly by Sunday, nothing too crazy, just your friendly neighborhood heatwave reminding you who’s boss.
So, yes, I know the weather has let us down lately, but maybe, just maybe, today it rains. And if it doesn’t? Well... you can yell at me in the comments again tomorrow.
