A woman is accused of pushing a senior citizen to the ground over a parking dispute in Paphos

An elderly woman is in hospital following an alleged attack over a parking dispute in Paphos.

According to police, a 79-year-old woman from Paphos has filed a complained against a 33-year-old woman for pushing her senior to the ground over a parking dispute.

The circumstances of the dispute were not made clear, but local media said the alleged assailant charged towards the older woman and pushed her to the ground.

The senior citizen was taken to the Emergency Room at Paphos General Hospital, where doctors said she suffered multiple fractures and would have to stay in hospital for treatment.

Both women were said to be local residents in the same community. No arrests were made while the 33-year-old woman is facing assault charges and will appear in court at a later date.
