The English School teachers agreed to return to their classrooms today, ending an almost week-long strike that kept students out of school.

According to the Department of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security, an agreement was reached between the English School's Board of Directors and the teacher's union (ESSA) to immediately end all measures (strikes and others) and for the School to return to its educational activities in the interest of students.

Moreover, the dismissal of the president of the teacher's union, Myrto Hassapopoulou, was also repealed pending an investigation by the Commissioner of Data Protection.

A statement from the school's Board of Directors said, "(we) call on the teachers, the management, the parents, the students and all those who love the school to show good will and willingness to cooperate, for the good of the students, who have suffered so much these days and who are the our absolute priority".
