European commissioners to visit Cyprus for meetings and cancer initiatives

Margaritis Schinas and Stella Kyriakides engage in important discussions and events on health and cancer research

Margaritis Schinas, Vice President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Promoting our European Way of Life and Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety will be in Cyprus next week for a number of meetings.

Stella Kyriakides will be in Nicosia from 20-26 May where on Saturday she will participate in an event about Metastatic Cancer organized by Cyprus Oncology Center and Europa Donna Cyprus.

On Monday, 22 May she will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Cyprus Cancer Research Institute.

On Thursday, 25 May, Kyriakides will deliver, via videoconference, a speech at the webinar ‘Europe's Beating Cancer Plan - First EU4Health Project Showcase', organized by the European Commission for the European Week Against Cancer.

On Friday, 26 May, she will deliver a speech to the 19th Annual General Meeting of Europa Uomo Cyprus. On the same day, she will also visit the Europa Donna House in Larnaca.

Vice President Schinas will be in Cyprus on Monday, 22 May where he will be received by President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides.

He will also meet with Constantinos Ioannou, Minister of the Interior as well as Athena Michaelidou, Minister of Education, Sport and Youth and Minister of Justice Anna Koukkides – Procopiou.

He will also participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Cyprus Cancer Research Institute's Nicola David Pinedo Building'.

On Tuesday, 23 May he will meet with President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou.
