In February 2024, a total of 16 bad cheques, amounting to €19,388, were issued, with 9 individuals (7 legal entities and 2 individuals) being listed in the preliminary registry of the Central Information Register (CIR) for dishonoured cheques.
According to data released by the CBC on Thursday, during the period from January to February 2024, 61 dishonoured cheques, with a cumulative value of €89,035, were recorded in the preliminary registry of the CIR, compared to €160,882 in the same period the previous year. The dishonoured cheques over the two-month span involved 25 individuals (17 legal entities and 8 individuals).
Furthermore, CBC statistics indicate that the number of individuals listed in the CIR reached 13 in February 2024, including 6 legal entities, 1 individual, and 6 individuals controlling legal entities.
Over the two-month period, a total of 47 individuals were registered in the CIR, showing an increase from 55 individuals during the corresponding period in 2023.
