The first phase of the Nicosia Peripheral Motorway (A1) will open to traffic on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., the Public Works Department announced.
Phase A1 features a 7.5-kilometer motorway connecting the existing Nicosia-Limassol Motorway (A1) with Tseriou Avenue, along with 10 kilometers of link roads to integrate with the current road network.

A bridge will link the old Nicosia-Limassol road (B1) with the Nicosia-Limassol motorway (A1). Additionally, there will be an at-grade junction near the Tseriou Industrial Area and a level terminal roundabout at the junction with Tseriou/Pefkos Avenue.
