Police say two law enforcement agents who responded to a noise complaint in Limassol were at some point attacked by all four tenants, with one of them even allegedly groping the female officer during the incident.

According to police, authorities in Limassol received a noise complaint on Epiphany Day Thursday evening, with two officers -one male and one female- paying a visit to a residence in Yermasoyia where loud music was heard in the neighborhood.

A man who came out of the residence started cursing at the officers and was subsequently informed he was under arrest according to police, while three others also resisted arrest that night.

The two women attacked the female officer, grabbing her head and hitting her in the body and face while the first detained man reportedly approached the female officer and groped her

According to details shared by police, a second man and two women came outside at the same time, with the male assaulting the officers, hitting the female officer in the face with his hands and grabbing her arm.

At the same time, according to police, the two women also attacked the female officer, grabbing her head and hitting her in the body and face. As the chaotic incident continued to unfold, the first detained man reportedly approached the female officer and groped her.

All four individuals were described as Greek Cypriots aged between 35 and 50, with police saying the second man and the two women had resisted lawful arrest.

Police said the female officer had sustained bruises and cuts around the head and body while she also suffered a concussion. She was put on medical leave for six days.

The incident took place around 9pm while it was not immediately clear whether there was a party. Police told Knews there were no signs of anyone else in the house at the time.
