We have reached Friday, and the island is easing into the weekend with a very stable, highly manageable weather pattern. While the seasonal low pressure and a slight touch of unstable air are technically still hovering in the background, the atmosphere is mostly behaving itself today.
Expect a beautifully bright, mostly sunny morning across the entire island. As we push into the afternoon, some localized cloud cover will develop over the interior and the peaks. There is a tiny chance these clouds could produce an isolated shower or a quick flash of thunder, but this activity will be strictly confined to the Troodos range. If you are anywhere near the coast, your sunshine is entirely safe.
In terms of temperature, the inland plains will hit 38°C today; warm, certainly, but nothing we aren't entirely used to for a July afternoon. If you are heading down to the west coast, you will get the coolest breeze on the island at a comfortable 31°C, while the rest of the coastline will hold steady around 33°C. Up in the high mountains, it will be a crisp and pleasant 27°C.
Winds will start off lazy and variable at 3 Beaufort before picking up slightly from the southwest and northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The south coast will see a bit more action later today, with winds temporarily freshening up to 5 Beaufort, making the sea slightly rough.
Tonight, the sky stays mostly clear, making it a great evening for outdoor dinner plans. As we get into the early hours of Saturday morning, some light patches of low cloud and a touch of mist might form in quiet spots. The wind will drop to a gentle 3 Beaufort from the north and east, and the sea will quiet right down.

Looking past today, the general theme for the weekend and Monday is more of the same. The weather will remain mostly sunny, though we will see periods of locally increased cloud drifting by. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise a fraction over the next few days, bringing the heat to levels just slightly above the usual seasonal average.
