Naval and air forces from Cyprus, France, Greece, the United States, Italy and Israel participated in the multinational aeronautical exercise “NOBLE DINA – 2025,” held in the Eastern Mediterranean between March 19 and April 3, according to the Cyprus Ministry of Defence.
The annual drill, organized by Israel, included complex maritime training scenarios such as tactical maneuvers, advanced naval movements, warship escort operations, anti-submarine warfare, and aeronautical cooperation. It also featured a search and rescue exercise coordinated by the Republic of Cyprus’ Joint Rescue Coordination Center.
Cyprus’ National Guard took part in all phases of the exercise. The Navy Command deployed the offshore patrol vessel Ioannidis, while an AW-139 helicopter from the Air Force Command participated in the search and rescue operation.
The Ministry said the exercise supports the National Guard’s broader strategy to strengthen military cooperation with allied nations, enhance interoperability, and promote the exchange of operational expertise.
