Kathimerini Greece Newsroom

Georgetown University is establishing a branch in Greece in partnership with the Public Power Corporation (PPC), according to an application submitted to the Education Ministry for the creation of a university legal entity.

The non-state institution, to be named Georgetown University Greece – University Legal Entity, aims to begin operations in the 2026-2027 academic year, starting in October 2026.

Georgetown plans to offer two graduate programs: the Executive Master’s in Leadership from the McDonough School of Business and the MS in Environment and Sustainability Management, a collaboration with the Earth Commons Institute.

The programs are primarily aimed at Greek senior business executives, including PPC group officials.

Both programs are certified by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Courses will be held in Athens in English, concluding with an intensive in-person period and graduation ceremony in Washington.
