Google is introducing its “AI Mode” search feature to Cyprus, a move the company says represents one of the most significant changes to its search engine in two decades. The announcement came Thursday at the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2025.

Enrico Ciampini, Google News’ Senior Partnership Manager for Italy and Cyprus, spoke on stage about the expansion, highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence in online search.

“This is a major shift in how people will interact with Google Search,” Ciampini said. “AI Mode offers a deeper, more intuitive way to find information.”

The new feature, already available in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, will now roll out in over 40 additional markets, including Cyprus, and in more than 35 additional languages.

Ciampini expressed pride in participating in the conference, noting that artificial intelligence remains a central topic for global innovation and is evolving at an unprecedented pace.

The Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit has become a key platform for discussions on technology, digital policy, and innovation, reinforcing the island’s growing role in the regional tech landscape.
