President Nikos Christodoulides has invited the public to use the government's online monitoring platform, diakivernisi.gov.cy, as a tool for tracking the implementation of state policies and assessing the administration's performance.
In a video message published on social media, the President said citizens have a right to access information about government decisions and initiatives, particularly those that affect everyday life. He said transparency and accountability remain central commitments of the administration.
Christodoulides referred to the government's annual presentation of its policy programme, introduced at the start of each year, describing it as a mechanism that allows the public to follow, evaluate and scrutinise government activity throughout its term.
He also pointed to the launch of the diakivernisi.gov.cy platform, which provides real-time updates on the progress of government projects and offers access to information on state policies. According to the President, the website is designed for use by citizens, media organisations and other interested groups seeking to monitor the delivery of government commitments.
The President encouraged members of the public to review the information available on the platform and provide feedback on the government's record. He said public comments and criticism can contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state services.
Concluding his message, Christodoulides said transparency and accountability are not political slogans but responsibilities owed to citizens, describing them as essential elements of responsible governance.
