The Health Ministry announced 601 cases on Thursday, raising total cases detected so far to 50,589.
No fatalities were recorded, leaving the death toll stable at 268.
A total of 63,207 tests were conducted, marking a positivity rate of 0.95%.
148 of the new cases were contacts, five were airport arrivals, 113 were people who took the initiative to get tested, 12 were tested at a general hospital, while 19 more got tested via antigen rapid test at private labs and pharmacies.
Among new cases, 304 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test. A total of 96 were detected in Limassol, 86 in Nicosia, while 52 tested positive in Larnaca, 15 in Paphos, and 14 in Famagusta. Two more were detected at the Aradippou industrial area. Another 15 involved businesses, while 24 more involved school staff or students.
Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 205 coronavirus patients, of which 50 are in critical condition.
63 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, six of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 65 patients, 30 of which are in the ICU. 44 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where seven are in the ICU, 13 are in Larnaca, 19 are in Paphos, while one is at the Makarios hospital in Nicosia.
