Health Ministry announces six deaths, 632 cases

The 632 new cases emerged after 12,643 PCR and rapid antigen tests were conducted

The Health Ministry announced six coronavirus fatalities and 632 new cases, raising the death toll to 125 and total cases to 22,651.

The deaths involved five men, aged 91, 80, 84, 90, 79, and 90-year-old woman, all of whom suffered from underlying health conditions.

The 632 new cases emerged after 12,643 PCR and rapid antigen tests were conducted.

Among the new cases were 326 people who had tested positive to rapid tests, 72 of which were in Limassol, 105 in Larnaca, 103 in Nicosia, and 28 in Famagusta.

The remaining 152 were contacts, two were arrivals to Cyprus airports, 111 were people who took the initiative to get tested, and 41 were people who got tested at general hospitals.

Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 160 patients, 46 of which are in critical condition.

68 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, two of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 53 patients, 26 of which are in the ICU. 34 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital, while five more are at the Makario hospital in Nicosia.
