Today, most areas of Cyprus will experience mostly clear skies. However, increased low clouds are expected occasionally, especially along the coast. By midday and into the afternoon, locally increased clouds may bring isolated showers, primarily in the mountainous regions. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, initially weak at 3 Beaufort, gradually strengthening to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the afternoon, winds on the windward coast will increase to 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will generally be slightly turbulent, with rougher conditions in the south by afternoon. Temperatures will rise to around 41 degrees Celsius
