Hot and unstable weather expected this week

Rising temperatures and afternoon showers possible

Newsroom

A seasonal low-pressure system and unstable air masses are affecting the region, bringing varied weather conditions.

Today, locally increased low clouds are expected mainly in the western and northern parts of the region. By the afternoon, cloud development could lead to isolated showers, primarily in the mountains or interior areas. Winds will start off variable and light, at 3 on the Beaufort scale, but are expected to shift to southwest to northwest, becoming moderate to strong, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will become increasingly rough. Temperatures are forecasted to reach around 37 degrees Celsius in the interior, about 31 degrees along the west and southwest coasts, 33 degrees on the remaining coasts, and 25 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will generally clear, but the western and northern areas may see increased low clouds. During the early morning hours, there is a possibility of localized mist or fog, especially in the interior and southeastern areas. Winds will primarily be from the southwest to northwest, starting weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort and decreasing to light, at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to about 22 degrees in the interior, around 24 degrees on the coast, and 17 degrees in the higher mountains.

Looking ahead to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the weather is expected to be mostly clear in the mornings. However, by the afternoon, cloud development over the mountains and possibly in the interior could lead to isolated showers.

Temperatures are expected to gradually increase by Saturday, reaching near or slightly above the average climatic values for this time of year.
