Can we talk? Oh please, look at what Mother Nature pulled out of her closet today! Seasonal low pressure is affecting the region, and let me tell you, it is an absolute disaster! You step outside in the afternoon, and suddenly there are clouds everywhere, bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms to the mountains. Who asked for rain over a nice outfit? Nobody!
Here is how today's hideous temperature lineup breaks down:
Inland plains: 39°C! Thirty-nine degrees! I haven't seen a sweat mustache like that since my third wedding!
Western and southwestern coasts: Sitting at 32°C. They call that the cool spot, if you consider melting like a cheap candle "cool."
Remaining coastlines: Clocking in at 34°C. Sticky, miserable, and completely ruining everyone's blowouts.
Higher Troodos Mountains: 28°C. You go up a mountain to get away from the heat, and nature throws an afternoon thunderstorm in your face!
Morning winds start out light and variable at Force 3, which is basically nature breathing heavily on your neck. By afternoon, it shifts southwesterly to northwesterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea is calm to slightly rough, looking just as bored as I am.
Tonight, the weather settles down and becomes mainly clear. Winds drop down to a light Force 3 from the southwest to northwest, or just variable wherever the wind feels like blowing. The sea stays calm to slightly rough.
Friday and Saturday: Darling, it's a mess! Afternoon clouds build up and bring more isolated showers and full-on thunderstorms to the mountains and inland. And listen to this: they’re expecting hail! Hail! If my car gets dented, somebody is paying for it!
Sunday: The sky finally clears up, though you'll still get some afternoon clouds creeping in just to be annoying.
Temperatures will gradually fall a little bit through Saturday, getting closer to average before sneaking back up on Sunday. So hold onto your hats, honey. It's going to be a bumpy ride!
