The Animal Party Cyprus recently extended its message of love to all people and all creatures.
This morning at the Nicosia Central Prison, the Animal Party Cyprus made a presentation to the prisoners on "The Reintegration of Prisoners into Civil Society in Relation to Love and Compassion for Animals."
The presentation introduced the Party's core theme and slogan: HUMAN, ANIMALS, NATURE, for ONE Health and ONE Welfare. The aim was to inspire prisoners, and particularly the prison system, to consider implementing practices that may allow inmates to temporarily care for and love an animal, potentially leading to adoption upon their release.
Connecting prisoners with dogs or other animals has been repeatedly shown to reduce recidivism, improve empathy and social skills, and foster a safer and more positive relationship between prisoners and correctional officers.
The Animal Party Cyprus believes that promoting love for animals can bring about positive emotions and contribute to a more compassionate society for all.
