Cyprus’ Minister of the Interior Nicos Nouris will be travelling to Brussels on Monday for a series of meetings with the senior leadership of the European Commission to discuss migration.
According to a press release, Nouris is set to present the migration management policy, request financial and logistical support from the EU, and seek the inclusion of Cyprus’ positions in the new European Migration Policy as a first line country.
The Interior Minister will meet with Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Promoting the European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas, Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders and Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides.
He will also attend a working lunch with President of the European Economic and Social Committee Luca Jahier and a working dinner with the Cypriot MEPs.
