Invest Cyprus, the national Investment Promotion Authority has been fervently working to position Cyprus as an appealing investment and business hub, serving as a gateway to the European Union. Their recent efforts at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 2024 in Abu Dhabi underscored this commitment, followed by a strategic visit to Kuwait.

AIM 2024, renowned as a premier event in the investment sector, drew significant international investors, offering a platform to discuss trends and opportunities in direct foreign investment. Invest Cyprus seized this opportunity to showcase Cyprus as a trustworthy investment destination, boasting a stable business environment and favorable tax regulations.

Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, spearheaded a series of pivotal business meetings during the AIM event. Collaborating closely with key figures like Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis, Ambassador of Cyprus to the UAE Meropi Christofi, and Commercial Counsellor of the Cyprus Trade Centre in Dubai George Partasides, Tannousis focused on highlighting investment prospects in Cyprus and fostering ties with Middle Eastern enterprises eyeing expansion into the EU.

Continuing their momentum, Invest Cyprus embarked on a mission to Kuwait, where Tannousis had the honor of meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. As a member of the administrative committee of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), Tannousis engaged in discussions alongside Ismail Ersahin, CEO of WAIPA, and James Zhan, Director of Investment and Enterprise at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The talks delved into investment opportunities, challenges in direct foreign investment, and strategies for attracting more investments to the region.

The AIM serves as a global initiative by the UAE Ministry of Economy, providing a vital platform for international dialogue on investment policies, strategies, and practices geared towards sustainable development and inclusive global growth.

Invest Cyprus's successful presence at AIM 2024 has significantly bolstered Cyprus's reputation as an international investment nucleus. Their endeavors are poised to attract new investments, fostering job creation and bolstering the Cypriot economy.
