Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is scheduled to visit Cyprus on December 20 to engage in discussions related to the Republic of Cyprus' initiative to establish a sea corridor to provide humanitarian aid to the civilian population in Gaza.
According to a report in PhileNews, the visit follows a recent technical team delegation from Israel that explored infrastructure and held meetings in Cyprus to advance the implementation of the initiative. During his visit, Foreign Minister Cohen will meet with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombo, joined by their respective technical teams, to address the technical aspects of the initiative.
The Republic of Cyprus has been actively pursuing this initiative, and Foreign Minister Kombo has already conferred with British and French counterparts to update them on the progress and discuss regional developments. The initiative aims to facilitate the delivery of much-needed humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
