Italy, Spain, Portugal, S. Korea in red category, Indonesia in green

Effective Thursday, 2 December

Source: CNA

Health Authorities in Cyprus have issued an updated COVID-19 country categorization list according to which Italy, Spain, Portugal and South Korea are downgraded from orange to red category, while Indonesia has been upgraded to the green category, with effect as of Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Although Namibia continued to be in the orange category, its passengers have since been banned from entry into Cyprus as of November 26, following the barring of passengers arriving from all African countries due to the omicron variant.

The categorization of countries based on the epidemiological risk assessment is extremely dynamic and may be modified at any moment as the pandemic evolves and the epidemiological data changes. For this reason, new data will be announced and the list of countries will be updated frequently.
