A joint military exercise between the forces of the Republic of Cyprus and Israel dubbed ‘Onysilos-Gedeon 2021’ kicked off on Monday at the Nicosia FIR, the Defence Ministry said.
The exercise, taking place in the framework of the two countries’ annual military cooperation programme, is directed and coordinated by the National Guard General Staff Air Force Command in cooperation with the Israeli Air Force. The exercise is set to wrap up on Tuesday.
It includes training staff in the tactics and procedures of development of anti-aircraft units, in the procedures of weapons control and dissemination of information, and training of air defense inspectors.
