A shocking murder early Friday morning has rattled Limassol after football agent Stavros Demosthenous was shot multiple times while sitting in his car on the Limassol highway.
According to initial reports, the gunman is believed to have been riding a motorcycle when he opened fire on Demosthenous. The attack took place on the stretch of road between the Agia Fylaxeos and Troodos roundabouts.
Heavy police forces rushed to the scene, sealing off a large section of the highway for forensic investigation. The police have confirmed it was a targeted murder and have launched an intensive search to locate the perpetrator or perpetrators.
