Christos Konstantinou delivered a strong and disciplined performance to win a bronze medal at the European Powerlifting Championship held in Malta.
Competing in the Open -74kg category, Konstantinou recorded a total lift of 720 kg, earning a well-deserved third-place finish among a competitive field of athletes.
His performance was highlighted by an impressive showing in the squat, where he lifted 277.5 kg to secure first place in that discipline. He also performed solidly in the deadlift, lifting 285 kg to place third.
According to the Cyprus Sports Organization (KOA), this result marks the first medal won by Cyprus in this category, representing a notable outcome for the country in the sport of powerlifting.
