Delivering an impressive routine on the horizontal bar, the Olympian secured second place, earning his first podium finish of the 2026 season. His achievement highlights his strong form early in the competitive year and signals promising prospects for upcoming events.
The Cypriot delegation is scheduled to arrive in Cyprus on April 9 before quickly departing for Croatia, where they will compete in the next World Cup event in Osijek.
Alongside Georgiou, the national team includes athlete Neophytos Kyriakou, who showed a solid performance but narrowly missed qualification for the apparatus finals.
