Press Release
The Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2025 returns on October 9, under the central theme “Beyond AI”, exploring how individuals, businesses, and societies can stay competitive in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
Among the distinguished speakers this year are Christina Siaila, Marios Polycarpou, Theodoros Evgeniou, Christos Ellinas, Kyriakos Kokkinos, and Demetrios Zoppos, each bringing their unique perspective and expertise to the discussion on technology, innovation, and the digital future.
Christina Siaila, educator and technologist, has spent over a decade transforming technology programs in leading schools from New York to Limassol. As founder of Gear Education, the first Cypriot company to become an official Google for Education Partner and the region’s first Apple Professional Learning Specialist, she helps schools design and implement complete digital transformation ecosystems.
Professor Marios Polycarpou is a leading academic in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Founding Director of the KIOS Center of Excellence for Research and Innovation at the University of Cyprus. A Fellow of the IEEE and IFAC and a member of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts, his work in intelligent systems, machine learning, and critical infrastructure has earned him international recognition, including the IEEE Frank Rosenblatt Technical Field Award (2023).
Professor Theodoros Evgeniou, Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD, is one of the world’s foremost experts in Artificial Intelligence. With nearly 30 years of experience in AI and Machine Learning, he advises boards, CEOs, and global organizations on AI strategy, ethics, and governance. A former OECD AI expert and World Economic Forum academic partner, Evgeniou is also co-founder of two companies, Tremau and NoeSysAI, and holds four degrees from MIT.
Dr. Christos Ellinas, co-founder and CTO of Nodes & Links, has led his company to secure over $30 million in funding from major European and Silicon Valley venture funds. His technology is used by some of the world’s largest engineering firms, including Intel, BAM, and AECOM. A former academic in the UK and the US, Dr. Ellinas’ research in complex systems has been widely published and funded by the European Union.
Kyriakos Kokkinos, former Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus, and former Chief Scientist for Research and Innovation, brings over 30 years of executive experience from international firms such as IBM Europe and PwC. He has served on multiple national boards and has been honored with several awards, including Business Leader of the Year (2016) and the Quality Leader Award (2015).
Demetrios Zoppos is a serial entrepreneur and investor, and Founding Partner of 33East, a Cyprus-based venture capital firm. He co-founded several successful startups, including GF-X, onefinestay, and Klevio.
