Authorities in Cyprus have issued an arrest warrant for a special constable in Limassol following an assault on a mobile speed camera operator and damage to a vehicle on the Paphos–Limassol highway.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, March 12, 2026, according to police reports. During the attack, the camera operator was allegedly assaulted, and a vehicle was deliberately damaged.
A 37-year-old man has already been arrested in connection with the case and is being held for questioning. The special constable, who serves in the Limassol district, now faces a potential arrest as police continue their investigation to determine exactly what happened.
