A weak low-pressure system could bring showers over the next couple of days in Cyprus, with clear weather firmly back in the picture just in time for the weekend.
Wednesday skies will be mostly clear while increasing clouds will appear on and off, with low chances of showers after midday mainly over the mountains and parts of the interior.
Temperatures will climb gradually Friday and Saturday, reaching levels above normal averages for this time of the year
Southwesterly and northwesterly winds will range from moderate to strong, while the sea will be relatively calm with choppy waters in some areas.
Maximum temperatures will reach 29 degrees Celsius inland, 27 in the east and south, 25 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 22 high up in the mountains.
Evening skies will be mostly ear with temperature lows dropping to 12 degrees in the interior, 15 in coastal areas, and 7 high up in the mountains.
Thursday weather will be mostly clear during the early part of the day with increasing clouds around midday and increasing chances of showers inland and over the mountains, including isolated thunderstorms. No noticeable change in temperature is expected.
But temperatures will climb gradually Friday and Saturday, reaching levels above normal averages for this time of the year, while mostly clear skies are expected thoughtout both days.
