Mild skies, but winter is plotting something…

Enjoy today’s mild weather—because winter is just warming up before it gets cold… really cold.

Newsroom

Ah, Monday. As if dragging ourselves out of bed wasn’t hard enough, we now have to deal with a weather system that can’t make up its mind.

For today, things are looking fairly decent—some clouds hanging around like that last guest who won’t leave the party, but by the afternoon, the skies should clear up. Temperatures will hit a comfy 19°C on the coast and inland, while the mountains will stay chilly at 11°C. Winds will be as indecisive as your weekend plans, shifting from "barely noticeable" to a moderate 3-4 Beaufort from the northwest.

Tonight, it’s mostly clear, though a few sneaky low clouds might make an appearance. If you're out late, beware of mist and fog creeping in, mainly inland and to the east—because what’s a Monday night without a little mystery? Temperatures will dip to 5°C inland, 8°C on the coast, and a frosty 3°C in the mountains, where Jack Frost is already dusting off his snowflakes.

And then… winter remembers it still has a job to do.

Tuesday brings increasing clouds and possible rain (because why not?), with a chance of thunderstorms in the west and north by evening. Troodos might even get some snow, so if you're craving winter vibes, pack your gloves. By Wednesday, it’s full-on "sweater weather" with rain, storms, and more snow on the mountains. And Thursday? Cold. Like, bundle up and reconsider your life choices kind of cold.

Enjoy today’s mildness while you can, because winter is about to show us who's boss. Stay warm, stay dry, and good luck—it’s Monday, after all.
